I am cutting down a set of cherokee d44 axles. Got to cut about 10 in. out. My question is right now I only can buy one locker. My thoughts are it is easier to tear down the rear than the front so while I have the axles apart put the front in first. It might be awhile before I can buy the second locker. Performance wise what would be better?

Everything I have read recommends putting it in the rear first.

Definitely the rear first. It will produce more predictable results.
