I have heard that the Scout II D-300 has the same bolt pattern as the D-20 & I want to know if it would bolt up to the Th-400 w/the QT option, meaning that if I remove the QT can I bolt up the D-300 or would I need a adapter.

Thanks,

The QT and dana 20 have different bolt patterns. I would get an adapter from novak for the th400 to dana 300 Jeep t-case. This way you can clock your transfer case and later on possibly upgrade to the atlas. The scout d20 and 300 have the same bolt pattern, but sometimes the aluminum adapters break also the t-case hangs down real low.

Plus, you will need to swap out the output shaft on the TH400. Qtrack TH400's have a super long and only like 10 spline or something strange. I ended up just swapping the whole drivetrain in mine. Plus your Qtrack has an offset rear axle that you will need to address, and a Dana 20 and Dana 300 have a centered rear output. Hope this helps! If you have a Qtrack questions let me know, I dealt with mine for the longest time before ditching it. They're great when they work correctly, but if just too much TLC is needed in my book. 8)

The '80 Scout D-300 shared the "Texas" bolt pattern w/ the D-20. They're not all that easy to come by.
