About a month ago there was a 78 for sale here in town. It was the cleanest J I have ever seen. 2 owners, 258, and I think a t18. I believe it only had 60,000 miles. The guy wanted $3,000. If you are interested, I can drive by and see if it is still there.

A friend here in Denver has one. It's currently a 401/4 speed (T-18 ), 3/4 ton (J20?). He hasn't been able to sell it, so his plan is to pull the engine/trans and scrap the body, which isn't too bad. If you're interested, I could give you his number.
Bob.

what ever you do don't let him scrap the body! i wish i had a way to get it if mc doesn't want it, i'm sure someone on www.ifsja.org would want it, just please keep it from being scraped! i have 4 pu's right now, 3 j20's and a j10, i'll be lucky to have one cab i can use for my plow truck project.

How nice of one do you want ? There is one in a yard over here that isnt to terribly bad......I think Johnny Eskimo is thinking of steeling the grill out of it though.......
I will tell you where is it for the valve cover off of it and a 360 piston in fair shape. :t:
