360 motors

...I am doing a re-ring job on a 360 and I am not posotive of the year. I am thinking an early 70s as it has dog leg heads on it. A guy on ebay has a re-ring kit that is listed for 72 on up 360s........whats the difference?

PS I also need a good used 360 piston, Anyone ?
