So what do you do at the Master Jet Base?
I had Jeepsr4ever (MC) and Superman here for a couple days, but we didn't get a chance to get to Oceana - Newport News is kinda far away

Cool!! I've always like the 14's - Power, strength, and ability. Except when they were launching over my head on the carrier flight deck

Do any time on carriers?

I can't remember which, but we just had either an F14 or F18 class at the hotel around a week or so ago for a few days. Which one are the ditching, the 14 or 18? Eother way, that was the class they had.
That wax job really brought that JEep back to life!! :lo1l: So what drivetrain are you running?
Jack (Lives over at the beach, work at the doubletree next to the pavilion center)

The 14 is being replaced wholesale with the F/A 18 A/B models, as in forever gone, like the gooney bird. The F/A 18 A/b's are now being ditched in favor of the E/F models. So they tried replacing a very capable 2-seater, super weapons system (the F-14) with a single seat F/A 18 with really short legs (has to tank as soon as they are in the air and 2-3 more times per mission). THEN they come out and replace that replacement with the F/A 18 E/F model. A 2 seater version with bigger fuel tanks and the same loading capacity (the F/A 18 E/F). Hummmmmm ... sounds semi-political to me. But yeah the 14 airframes are getting old, so why not make more of a good thing?? Like the A-6's!! THAT was a GREAT aircraft :? Small and capable. What else could carry an 18,000 pound ordnance load on such a compact Aircraft?? NOTHING!! And they are doing away with the A-10 (Warthog) AKA: THE TANK KILLER. Another great airframe that came out of retirement to kill 1,000's of tanks and armored vehicles during Gulf I and II.

A Salute to fallen warriors!

Well, I'll be working on mine and if you can get Jack off bottom dead center and get up here we could have a few and do some damage :t:
I think Robert11 is going to be busy since he is deploying in a coule days and I'm sure his spousal unit or both girls will occupy most of his time

Give me a call 572-8807, I do have to go by the office in Norfolk tomorrow and pick up my wiring stuff.

Hey!! 8) Man, you don't need to tell me about it! Sucks arse man, I lost almost all of my staff, so I have been working tons of doubles and back to backs. Sallary sucks! Anywho, I am hoping that in a the next two to three weeks I will start getting some days off again. Memorial day weekend sucks here at the ocean front, gotta work like a dog!! Lousy tourists!! Anywho, I am hoping to get my head work done soon, so I will defintiely be swinging up sometime.

On a side note, where are you and MC heading to in NC and when?

Jack (Saw a beautiful CJ5 at the hotel yesterday and wanted to get my Jeep back on the road  )
