With a rebuilt 401 and a nickel coated cover with hand lapped gears I get 48psi hot and 42 when warm at an idle. If you are getting under 10psi you may want at the least..new gears or a high presure spring. Most likely the bearings are worn but if you catch it you may be able to save your bearings and increase your oil pressure. Dont let oil pressure ruin your engine.

just send me the 1st one cause i'm a nice guy :mrgreen: besides i
could alway use more power or maybe i can send dad a 258 and let
him experiment. he did a 200 I-6 for my cousin eric and installed it
into a 66 mustang. stock gt's get eaten for lunch. dad never said what he did to the little motor but it has alot more power than stock :shock:
he can't leave stock alone :t: :lo1l:
