304 OIL FILLER TUBE QUESTION

Hello all, I am the proud owner of a brand new 1975 amc 304 motor. My question to everyone is to see if anyone here has removed the stock cap on the oil filler tube and replaced it with an air filter. If so I'm wondering what size the filter was and how secure was it? I would like to replace the stock setup with an aftermarket air cleaner and air filter to go on the filler tube?? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I used a K&N air filter that I found at a local hot rod shop. It fits right over the tube and is really secure. I forgot what size the tube is though.
