I need comfirmation of a theory...Does the Tach in a 70 AMX/Javelin, besides displaying engine speed, perform the function of primary ignition resistance? Based on my examination of the wiring diagrams, when the tach is in circuit the pink primary resistance wire is left disconnected. The Crane XR-1 electronic conversion requires 1.2 to 1.9 ohm primary resistance, so if in fact the tach is the pri. res., I'm golden, if not then I'll need to add a resistor. Anyone out there know for sure?
