One of the younger guys on the FL board is having some issues with a noise somewhere in the eng/trans. We got the t-case and drive shaft stuff solved, but I'm at a loss fo rthe next round Can anybody help him out? did you check the motor and tranny mounts? if they were not torqued or
a bolt is sheared then this could be your problem.drain and fill the t-case
with the proper lube oil. without being their to here it for myself this is
a w.a.g(wild ass guess).

Yup walked him thru all of that - he said it sounds like a chain noise, but he has a D300 t-case??? Waiting for the audio file so I can here it too. It started out as a clucnk so we got the bad U-joints swapped out too. He says it happens in neutral when he revs, or in gear with the t-case in neutral.??/

The wait continues...

a d-300 t-case? mongo not familiar with that one. maybe there is some
kind of slop inside the t-case. does it have a drivechain?

Uhhhh Dog???? :-| D-300 = Dana 300 t-case, heavy duty, gear driven, p-side drop, Cast iron case, weighs about 90 pounds and I have a twin stick shifter on mine now.

the only 2 4x4's i've owned are a 90 cherokee and the eagle.
