Bulltear recieved a call from Crown automotive here what was said.

Crown: Our US manufacturer of water necks quit making them and we sent the job overseas to be made, the parts came back looking terrible.

Bulltear: How can we help?

Crown: We need OEM pieces in good condition to use as templates for new waternecks.

Bulltear: We will help as much as we can with this issue

Crown: We need original AMC water necks with part numbers on them ect. They can have some corrosion but we need them fast as their is a national shortage of water necks and we were the sole producers of these.

Bulltear: we have one AMC-3210852 which is a aluminum piece we will send you for inspection.

Crown: Yes please do, do you have any others.

Bulltear: We feel that a aluminum piece would be a better bet for AMC's engine builders and V8 car and jeep people. We do not have any others in stock but will put the word out and help in any way we can.

Crown: Thanks so much

Guys I am asking for OEM pieces (waternecks), we cannot reemburse you for the piece but we will mention you to Crown automotive. We hope to get the other pieces and have them shipped by next tuesday..this is a urgent request, please help us so we can help them to keep making AMC engine parts.

-MC

Please respond to this before sending out any oem pieces as we only need one of each kind...to which we believe their was 5 different pieces.

Sounds kinda fishy to me. Just how many do they need, to reproduce a couple? How many different styles were there, Like 2, maybe?

73 ....5 different styles, they are open to suggestions from us. It is not fishy we have been working with Crown and got them on track with their timing covers. We work with alot of manufacturers and help them along the way. We all need a little outside help from time to time to keep the wheels greased and to keep making parts.

most AMC people would preferr alum since it was factoty on the engines

Any chance they're going to make the early ones without any temp sensor bosses or holes?
