View Full Version : Low budget 360 ignition upgrades?
Does anyone have any advice on a upgrading ignition on a budget? I have a mostly stock 360, with a summit K8600 cam and the smog pump/air injection removed in my 82 Cherokee. The distributor is original, and needs to be replaced. I want to improve the ignition, but the prices I've seen are a bit more than I want to spend. Any suggestions?

If you have the delco distributor, the pertronics upgrade works very well.

CHECK OUT Z&M JEEPS THEY MAKE AN HEI DIST. $250 MAY BE MORE THEN YOU WANT TO SPEND. I AM RUNNIONG ONE IT WORKS GREAT. I HAD A PRESTOLITE DIST. BEFORE WITH CRANE CAMS HI6-S BOX, THE HEI WASN'T A BIG IMPROVEMENT BUT WITH 1 WIRE HOOK UP IT IS NICE. IT MAY BE STARTING ALITTLE EASIER AND SAVE SOME FUEL MILAGE IS MY BIGGEST GAIN. Z&M DOES PUT TOGETHER A GOOD AMC HEI DIST. AND FAR LESS THAN THE DUI HEI.
