Hi! I have a question concerning a cam choice. At present time I am running a 401 bored to 412 (.060 over), with Venolia pistons, 9:4:1 compression, slightly reworked heads, Edelbrock Performer RPM Air Gap, Holley 750 VS, headers, 2 3/4 exhasust with crossover, complete MSD ignition and a Comp 280H cam. Trans is TH 400 with TCI 11” convertor. Jeep is a CJ 7, 33” tires, 4:11:1 rearend with Powr-Lok. I have to pass a simple sniffer test in my country (measured at idle) and last time I only passed it (barely) because the guy doing the measuring liked my Jeep. So now I am looking for a slightly smaller cam. I can’t decide between the Comp XE 262 or XE 268 or the basic Magnum 270H. Any recommendations will be appreciated. By the way I like a strong and good sounding engine…(just like everybody else, I guess). Thanks!
