years. started out on the md-80 then kc-10 . md-11, and now c-17.
when i'm not at work i like off-roading in our eagle 4x4 wagon. when not
off-roading i gunfight with the mojave muleskinners , gunfighters for
hire, and lawdogs and ladies.
note: i don't work anywhere unless i enjoy what i do and aircraft just
happens to be a hobby and i get paid for doing a hobby!

If anyone cares, my Grandfather helped design the Lockheed C5 Galaxy. He invented the visor nose and the system that allows the plane to "squat" for easier and faster loading and unloading.

looks like we got something in common :t: the c-17 is roughly a 2/3rds
scale model of a c-5.

I work in the semicondustor industry for a company based in San Jose CA. We make inspection equipment that semiconductor Mfg's use to inspect the wafers that the computer chips are made on. When I'm not working (and that's not been much lately!) I usually end up tinkering on my 70 AMX, the kid's 70 Donohue Jav, the daily drivers or what ever alse is on the Honey-Do list from the wife. IF I don't have any of that to do (again, my plates' been full) I enjoy going out and shooting stuff up, mainly Chevies and Fords!

Thanks Dean! It's not perfect or fully restored by any means, but I like it, the wife likes it, so it's all good! Yeah, the 'do list just keeps getting longer, and I literally mean go out and shoot up cars! There's nothing more satisfying and relaxing than unloading a few mags of 5.56 or .308 or even .45 into an old Fairmont or Omni.......

i like the 1858 remmy .44 black powder  makes big holes  took the eagle out sunday and did alittle mud bogging.

Yeah, Black powder's fun, but I like to pull the trigger and hold it! Might not make as big a hole in one shot, but 30 holes in one trigger pull is LOTS of fun!

I'm a network tech for Lucent Technologies. I do all wiring in my building for voice and data. Everything from copper to fiber optic. I also configure and troubleshoot all the LAN and WAN switches.

For fun, I have the 69 AMX, a 2000 Kawasaki ZRX1100 for carving the mountain curves, and a 77 CJ for rock crawling. I also like to shoot when we get into the back country.

Wish you were near me Bob. Somehow our login and password were changed on our Deifinty GR3 sometime between March 29th and April 2nd, now I can't change the time (day lights savings time). Really sucks for putting in wake up calls at the right time for guests! Been battling with Avaya for them to use their Super Password - but they keep telling me my Sol to# is invalid. :(: Well, I found an IL# last night around 10pm so hopefully that will be enough for them to help me.....

Don't know that I could help you. Avaya manages our G3 too. I have a limited ID that will let me set up and change stations, not much more. Our G3 picks up about 10 minutes a month, rather than address the problem, they just log in and reset the clock (I can't even do that).

Isn't avaya fun
I have to deal with 9 G3s and I have to go through the IL # came all the time. but if you don't pay maintenace then they bend you over for everything

Well, I finally found a super cool chick by the name of Colleen who sat on the phone with me for almost 5 hours until we got all of the accounts straightened out. Three days, countless phone calls to tons of companies, and a $200 service charge later I have the password and login changed from avaya. I am also having another master login created for my prefered vendor (MidAtlantic Business Communications) so he can access it if we ever get logged out.

Anywho, the cause of the problem? The person I had trying to change the time was typing the lettel "l" and not the number "1". After a few failed attempts, it blocked everyone out. :(: Anywho, for now on, I'll just do it myself.

Jack

PS - United Asset Coverage can kiss my a$$. What a waste of money they are - had to fix this problem on my own (so why do we pay them a service contract??), and when I informed them of my disgust with me having to do their job, the rep on the phone stated to me "Well sir, I am glad that you got that off your chest - anything else I can help you with today?" What a d!ck!!!! :violent1:

I am a parts specialist at O'Reilly auto parts, been either a mechanic or parts guy, (with the exception of a 6-month stint for Dish Network as an installer) since I was 16. Cars are my hobby and my life, and I love the challenges of being a parts guy where your mixed with farms, construction companies, body shops, racers (we have a dirt track, drag strip, off roaders (AFW and Throttle Down Kustoms, for you Jeep guys, are located here), and derbies in the same town!), and the regular shops. In the spare time I race and run demo derbies to unwind. About to go back into the roundy-rounds and drags, someday I want to be the only guy who has won all three races locally in one year

hey jon, glad you are getting some use out of it. the flight crews really
enjoy the beast. the a/c does work well for being in a cargo jet.
we even had a fighter jockey try his hand at flying it. no problems.
the fly-by-wire and joystick made it too easy.

zero cool

I work for Lockheed, designing upgrades for the F-16.

When I'm not doing that, I'm working on one of my Jeeps.

Rollen,

I am getting ready to do it again... Have an ORI this time. Hafta fly down south and PLAY war in the 100 deg heat. Then I am due to play war for real shortly there after...

Fun fun fun in the hot blazing sun...

JON

Oh Yeah... We were flying into this place in Wisconsin, with a VERY short runway. Pilot slams us down on the deck, hits the reversers and stands up on the brakes. Typical combat landing... I am awakened to see these 3 80# plastic 4x4s fly past me. One of the guys I was with got his leg pinned by one. Almost lost his foot for that matter. They were lashed to the top of a connex and turned so the force of landing sent them shooting forward. Bad way to start an excersize.

I work for Electronic Data Systems managing GM data during the day and run a hotrod shop evenings and weekends. (www.ttdmotorsports.com) We like to build odd stuff.

I've had my AMX since I was 18 months old.... We currently have the "Charity AMX" in our shop, it's ummmm NOT super nice at this point, doing what we can to change that.
