What do you get when you mix a cheap Redneck, with a $5.00 Big Block Chevy Deep Oil Pan (Bought at a yard sell), an AMC oil pan, a welder, AMC blue Spray Paint and the desire not to spend the high prices for a deep oil pan?

I welded it up over the weekend. Filled it with water 5 times, marked the leaks, and welded it 4 more times, then did a little braising in areas that I just didnt like my welds. After that was completed, I put on some seam sealer & fiberglassed over my welds (for extra leak protection). It may not look great & brand new, but I think it looks pretty good for a guy that is an "IT" by trade and hasn't touched a welder sice high school, 14 years ago. I even put in some internal baffles.
Now I just hope it fits in the car. :razz:
I bought a used internal Milidon pickup for their 9" pan at the 50th in Kenosha for $15.00 . I took it to the auto hobby shop on base (USN) and had it cleaned real good.
