Rebuilding a 343 and have a set of +.030 Badger pistons new. Would like to hear good or bad from people who have used badger pistons, I have been reading some rumors of breakage problems with these pistons but that in a 343 are less likely to break.

I was told that the Badgers were brittle but it was all I could get when I rebuilt my engine. I'm at 11-1 compression, mild crane cam and did a good balancing job on the bottom end. I run hard through a 150' mud pit leaving the starting line at 2,500 to 3,500 rpm and at the end i'm turning 5,500 - 6,000 rpm. I have been very impressed with the power and acceleration. I did over-rev on a pass and bent 2 exhaust valves (i was still running stock springs!). When I pulled the head off i could see 2 small 1/2 valve impressions on the tops of the 2 pistons but no breakage. Put me down as a "thumbs up" for the pistons.
