Hey Goose - make sure the Moly coating your using in your rifle is Sulfer nutralized <must be less than .2%> !!! Moly and sulfer are found and mined pretty closely together and if your spray isn't S-neutral then moisture and heat will create sulfuric acid and I don't need to tell you what that will do to clearances both in your bore and throat, not to mention the bolt or action!!! After 17 years on the Navy shooting team, I've seen guys replacing barrels in under 1000 rounds (7.62) and 300 rounds in a WinMag.
Molly can prolong barrel and tolerance life and I use it too as a soak, NOT as a bullet coating, but make sure it's nutralized. Theres a place in AZ that sells Plate+ and it is certified <.2% S content.

Just thought I'd let ya know ... :t:

OBTW a quart of Gold in the crankcase got me 2MPG (13 to 15 mpg) in an 80,000 mile 5.7 Chebby and ~1.5 mpg more in the 5.7 Hemi =D>
