Edelbrock Shorty Headers-again

I bought a set of the Edelbrock Headers through work here. I bought the ones with the air tubes. I'm thinking about cuting them off and welding up the holes. Does anyone see a problem with this? I'm going to sand blast them and paint them with some kind of high temp paint. Any suggestions on what to use?

You should be able to succesfully cut and weld up the tubes with little or no problems. Look for exhaust manifold paint for your headers
