well all i finally fixed the popping through the carb,
you see when the timing jumped it bent all of the intake pushrods and from driving it like that it totally destroyed the # 1 intake lifter causing all of the other lifters not to pump up because all of the oil was going right through the dead one.
but anyhow it runs like new and makes no noise so im happy,steve :lo1l: #-o
