Lets talk broaching....each broach is between 4-1600 dollars a piece. They are hardened tool steel and feature a multiple cutting cookies on each broach with the size going up untill net broach size is acheived on the last cutter. It takes thousands of pounds of force to push one of these puppers through. A precision bore must first be established and it must slip on the approach end of the broach cutter body. We found that a +.002 -.000 worked best for the parts we did.

Here is the machine that broaches...these are inside broaches not on shafts. Its a very early 1900's model and still runs like a top to this day...better casting than whats available today as well.
