They have about the same jeep as we do but I have started to modify (secretly) to kick their a$$!

=D>

Whats your max RPM? when you punch it you are getting close to the pinnacle power curve of a summit 8600. You must hit some high R's. The jeep TF727 has a low stall and is a lock up. If I remember right when I was tinkering with the 727's the after market TC's were alot more than their Chrysler counterparts....hmmm. Fuzz, bob what do you guys think?

Some place in CA. I have the receipt at home and I will look tonight. From what I remember they were around $400. The kit is nice because it makes 1st & 2nd = 4.56 at the axle leaving 3rd 4.10 which is nice on the highway.

Max RPM in low range (I can't get there in high range) using 2nd to 3rd is 6000-6500. The most I have gotten in high range 1st gear is 4800.

Ok got the gear info:
A-1 Automatic Transmissions
7359 Canoga Ave
Canoga Park, CA 91303
818-884-6222
818-884-7223-fax

I bought these in March of 2000 for $440.00 + shipping.
It is called "727 low gear set for late model"

You get a new planetary gear, sun gear & front annulus gear.
They also sell low gear sets for most other trannys.

Very high quality parts! Just a little pricy but I figured by the time you changed gears in both axles it was about even and than you would lose some highway gearing.

Good luck!

Dave
