I looked but didn't see any #'s. I looked everywhere; side; backs; fronts.

Under the cover meaning I have to remove the cover, never heard of that. LOL

I might have to remove the Header, should I remove the drivers side or...
I guess I could get the book out but then your post count would go up. :? :shock: :t: That's funny right there.

yes remove the valve cover, and there should be a number cast into the head between teh last set of rockers (i think the first set on the passenger side)

O.K. sorry been busy, I removed the passenger side valve cover & here's what I see.

Looking @ the valve cover/head from the passenger side & reading left to right.

II = Rockers.

II (75 & there are the letters HN stamped below it), II (24-8 or 8-24 depends how U look @ it, it's upside down on the block), II (3220502-2 & below it there is a letter "G" stamped on the head).

So we have a rocker II(75) (HN) II(8-24) II (3220502-2) (G).

So is it a 1975 & if so can U tell me anything else like the H.P. for that or this yr. I need all the info I can get on the engine.

Thanks,
RollBar

I found this: http://www3.sympatico.ca/david.crooks/amc.PDF

Looks like a 74' but not sure of any other details as in H.P. etc. I know they changed from yr. to yr. on some models but I can't remember.

there is a tag on the valve cover on the end that has numbers and letters that state what year and what motor it is that is the only way except for the casting numbers on the block and i dont think that does much good except to say it is a 360 block form this year to tthis year and that is about it

That's the problem Fuzz, I don't have the original V covers. :smile:

But by the link I found & the numbers I would say I have a 1974........Hummm. I do know this it's a 360. :lo1l:
