Educate me on something...why has this not been done, or why it's not done more often.
For a dedicated trail rig, why not put a hitch on a metal skid, that would fasten solid to the frame, lift the front wheels, and let the Trail rig be pulled behind the truck. Using the Trail rig's own rear axle as a trailer axle. and the Tow rig be the trailer for the tow rig.
If you brake something, and the rear axle is a full floater... you can still trailer it home.
This seems too logical, economically fesiable, and should be solution for this already. What am I missing?
