new to rebuilding engines. i am having a problem installing the oil pan, there is a 1/4 in gap between the oil pan and the block. at first i thought pickup tube was too far out, kept turning it down still the same. i then took out the pickup tube and still same problem. this oil pan came off a 304 so it should fit the 360. could this pan be from a chevy or a ford or maybe the flanges are bent, help please thanks.

Probly hitting in front right. Ocassionally the front bearing cap can nick a pan.
