Started cleaning it out and started replacing my first body panel. Going well so far considering I've never done it before.....

The bottom pieces are bondo chips and the rusty piece was what was left of the cross member for the body mount...

Jack, look at THIS (http://members.cox.net/mudrat/85%20CJ/Fuel-syst.jpg) ... do you need part #4 or #5? I have an extra #4, I'm still looking for a #5 myself.

It's yours - and it would be much easier to change them while you've the angle to work on'm. I might be down to the office on Sunday to load the block in the truck, and if Chris gives me a call, I'll pick up the 258 then too.
We'll talk - you working Sunday?

As of now try to get the thing started. I went to start it weds, and had no spark, started playing around with some stuff and it stopped cranking all toghether.

Once it is started, i am going to pull it in the garage, change the leaking hydraulic clutch line, if that goes well, swap the suspension and axle. IF that does not go well, pull the tranny, and maybe do a double t-case behind the t-18 tranny

Sounds good! I work 3-11P, so anytime in the morning is good for me.

Well Chris called and the 258 is ready for pickup. Rob called and needs to borrow my trailer, Gigi called (wife) and told me to hold off on morning plans  :t: :t: :t: :? So it may be a while before I get out of bed in the AM :t: :t: :?:
If I can't gt down there AM tomorrow, and you have the time, swing by the office on Monday - I'll bring it with me.

Check the link I gave Jack ... (bold, blue underline). I'm probably going to break down and go to the $tealership next week.

Well I worked on the Jeep a little more today. I pulled off the hood, fenders, grill and the wiring harness. My body is shot, so I will start looking for a replacement soon. I picked up an engine stand, so hopefully I can pull the block and crank a little easier and get to work on it!

Johnnie did you find your valve? I stopped by the $tealership and ordered it - it was only $12.50 after tax. I just took in that page and highlighted the part I needed and he punched it right up.

What time?
Now that I have the truck empty, I can get the hoist outta the bedroom (some have swings, chains and/or whips, I need the crane :? 8) ).

Need to call and see if the rollover valves are in yet ... :-|

Man I LOVE to see the trucks in the sand - but I may need to play Chauffer at noon on Sunday  Seems my daughter has decided she wants to go to a rodeo in NC Sat with a friend, and church Sunday with them ... but she has to work Sunday at 1. When she calls (and she'd better) tonight, I'll either call you or send ya an e-mail. I can get my hoist to you Sat though if you need it without me (and the beer :sa: )

Like I said, the block/crank/flexplate are upbolted and ready to pull. Only thing I have to do is unbolt the two engine mounts - so shouldn't take long at all - just too heavy for me to lift by myself... Shouldn't take long to yank at all!! Let me know what works for you!!

This is Jack's Junq ...

Well some of it anyway

(but it's HIS junq) :t:
http://members.cox.net/mudrat-jeeper/Jacks-Junk/Itsa-Jeep.JPG

Jack got tired of blow-by so he fixed the hole in the piston with a nail. (under the P)
He missed a lot so the pistons dinged up (but just a little)

http://members.cox.net/mudrat-jeeper/Jacks-Junk/401-piston.JPG

But Jack's Cranks spins easy
