hi there..

need some assistance as to what goes on first when the cam is installed.

cam is in block. timing gear is on.
what goes next?
i have fuel pump drive and distributor gear, and a bolt and washer for the end.

is this all i need? a pic would be great if anybody had one.

The fuel pump eccentric goes next, then the dist gear, then the bolt and washer holds it all on. Did you ckeck all you oil holes to make sure they all line up?

The timing gear goes on first (you knew that), then the fuel pump eccentric, timing gear, washer and bolt.

I'm sure you've read here to check the oil passage in the timing gear for any casting flash. There has also been reports of the eccentric touching the cast in part numbers on some brands of the upper gear, causing it to wobble, so check that. The gear will extend past the nose of the cam, and the correct washer will fit snugly into a groove in the front of the gear. I believe the torque spec on the bolt is 25-35 lb/ft, and use some thread locker.
