The best spray-can corrosion inhibitor I have ever used is CRC SP-350, it is available at any industrial supply house for about $5 and it works about 10 times better than WD-40

I bring this up because someone mentioned in another post spraying freshly cleaned parts with WD 40 to prevent rust, and this stuff is mucho better.

Ran out of CRC rust-buster (it was kinda old) but the PB Blaster works better. Never tried the CPC stuff. should try and find some of that corrosion preventive compound we use on the aluminum birds (helos) to keep the salt from eating them .

PB Blaster, who makes that?
I have a 360 block that I treated with the SP 350, and wrapped in plastic. It has been outside for about 4 years now with virtually no rust. I just re-treated it last fall :t:

:-| Blaster Chemical Companies (http://www.pbblaster.com/store/) makes it :lo1l: And a bunch of other stuff. The PB Blaster works better than the CRC stuff I had for rust penitration and removal. Some like the Kroil brand - both work pretty good.

Thanks for the link, I book marked it. This CRC product is marketed to primarily be a corrosion inhibitor, not a "nutbuster" I have used kroil products and they are great for rusted nuts :bounce: :bounce:
and stuck motors, how do you think the the PB stacks up against kroil for rust penetration?

Haven't done a study myself - I get whatever is available and cheapest at the time I need it :t:
