New Member - Introduction

As a new member just like to say hello. Don't want to leave boring details for a first impression but I'm a fanatic for 1976 to 1979 CJ's, I have a total of four and keep searching for the ultimate rig. I just purchased a bare standard bore AMC 401 to build - and cylinder heads. That's all I have so far except an AMC 360 in a 1976 CJ7 to run until the 401 is complete. Can't imagine doubling horsepower form the 360 - but I've gotta know!

This is 1976 CJ7 - 1977 Chev. 350, 4bbl, Add a leaf - soon to be 2.5" skyjacker. GM TH400 with Quadratrac tailshaft, Low range. 4.11:1 posi, partime conversion. If this shows up okay I'll get the others. So far most of the time they come up the size of a postage stamp! Yes - those are old L78 tires.

See I did it again! Kodak Easy Share Camera - tried going to .bmp, .wmf, .jpg and others. Figure it out once but can't remember how.

M38 was used in the flood of 1972 in Corning N.Y. Then went to the Fire Dept. Contractor purchased it ans it's been in a fallen down barn since 1982. I was a surveyor and remembered it being there twenty years ago. Took me a year to convince owner I had to have it.

Just got back from moms B-day weekend in NC. We survived, but 'ol #7 is talking to me now - screw the garage (or shop, or parts place, or back yard, or whetever :?: )

Hoppy good deal!!! (and the pics work now :? ) I miss my M-38 :smile: Original 538's, grave diggers, and hurricane 4!!!. restored it and had an olive drab gold metal flake sprayed on - looked cool!!!!!!
