Hello all, I'm looking for opinion/answers on a mod I'm going to do on my bottom drive pulley. As you all know 401's don't have room for a crank trigger pickup under the pump and my old trigger wheel is in the way now as I had to shorten the bottom v belt/blower drive pulley to get that new ZM Jeeps/Be Cool waggy radiator in. My plan is to drill (4) holes 90 degrees apart .125 dia and broach the square for the magnet in the last pulley edge. (I'm switching from a hall effect crank sensor to a mag pickup). Does anyone think the belt rotation will induce magnetic fields or the diameter of the pulley cause any problems? I'm installing the holes at the locations marked with a sharpie.

Jeff

I take it you can't push the radiator forward any?

Kermie, I moved the front grill foward 5 inches foward and stretched the frame so I can get the A/C condenser and oil coolers in there. I have to stretch the "glass nose 5 inches now, I don't want to "loose " the original lines too much. When I ran the original stock Waggy radiator I had enough room now the working space is getting too tight. Jeff
