What is your choice, pros/cons? Would you use full groove main bearings from ACL or cross drill your crank and use half groove Clevites or something - or leave it stock with half groove bearings?

EDIT: My personal observation on three AMC teardowns is that the rod bearings could benefit from 360 degree main feed.

Their are many who race with grooved bearings and are criticized for it but still have great results. Cross drilling the rods doesnt hurt BUT the last rod in each oil path can suffer if the primary rod surface is giving off too much volume. I would say go for it as long as your running extra capacity.

To clarify, I was talking about cross-drilling the rod feed path at the main journal so as to provide for 360deg oil feed from the mains to the rods. Is this what you meant jeeps4?

Cross drill the crank. Seems to be the most efficent way. Then cat eye the hole. I like having only half a bearing oiling. The other half taking the oil shear load.
