View Full Version : AMC V8 Manuals/Where's the dipstick?

Hello, I just signed up on this forum. I was referred by someone on earlycj5.com. Anyway, I just got a spare CJ with a 390 in it and was wondering if there are any books out there about this engine. Also, I can't find the dipstick. The hole is covered on the drivers side, where I believe it should go. Any advice? Thanks

yes take the 390 out send it to me and put a 360 in :sa: for the 390 you would have to look at the AMC cars jeep never used the 390 the cars only used them from 68 to 70 and the 68/69 were different from 70

Do you think the 390 is too much? I need to see if it still has good compression, hasn't run in a yr.
