Hey MC, I was wondering if you might know what the factory backspacing was on a Jeep Cherokee Chief Wide-Track's wheels were. The backspacing of the narrow track models was 3.25, but I haven't been able to find the wide track models backspacing.
Thanks!

They used the same wheels on the narrow and wide track vehicles.

I was thinking the same thing. The widetrack "chief" had the extra flares to cover the wider stance.

Hey guy's, thanks for trying but I know they aren't the same wheels at least. The Wide-Track models have are 15x8, and the narrow track models are 15x7, but I need to know the backspacing! The backspacing of the narrow track jeeps was 3.25, on a 15 x 7 rim but I haven't been able to find the backspacing for the wide-track models.
Thanks!

If I get a chance tomorrow I'll try to measure a wheel from an 80 cherokee WT that I parted.

Your correct the 7" have a 3 1/4" back spacing and the 8" have a 3 1/2" back spacing. I have a set of both laying around and measured them both. Some of the 7" came on j10's contrary to popular belief even though they had wide track axles with the fender flares. Hope this helps you.
