Ready to paint my 401 block this week.

Have been using POR 15 products on my Waggy frame but not sure any of their engine enamels are a good match for AMC engines. What do you think?

This is a link to the POR engine enamel color chart.

If none of these come close, do you have a source for a good AMC turqoise?

AMC paint is a metal flake lavender type color. I guess you could get close with Chrysler paint but that would be correct for the early years, 1970 and back. Light blue

AMC didn't even use high temp paint on engines from the factory. It was just a standard enamel or laquer. Seemed to hold up well enough.

Prep is critical to having the paint stick. Use brake cleaner, then a good detergent to remove all traces of oil dripped during assembly.
