This might be a dumb question but.....

Some of U may know that I am rebuilding a CJ8 & converting it to a M-170 (http://www.street2mud.com/gallery).

I have a question,
1. Is there any way this http://www.street2mud.com/albums/album01/1951_68_M38_A1_Steering_wheel_green.thumb.jpg steering wheel will fit the 1984 CJ8's column?

2. For some of you fabricators out there is it possiable to make one fit & if so, how?

Thanks,
RollBar

P.S. The picture of the steering wheel is from 4wd.com, part number-A6858, year 1951-1968

No, but they do make one for later yrs. up to '77 I think, I have to double check. I just ordered a side panel from JCW that came in yesterday, I figured it was easier for me to cut pieces out of the new JCW panel to weld on the 8 then to fab one up w/all the bends. I have two rust holes under the Jeep name on the side of the tub. I post pics once I get going again.

Have a good new year Pat. :t:
