I found a replacement 304 here in KY for a hundred bucks but I want to rebuild an engine while it's warm for my 75 CJ. Everyone here is telling me to convert to Chevy for higher displacement but an AMC motor came in the old girl and she'll die with one in her. I'm not opposed to rebuilding/building my 304 but I want higher displacement as long as I'm doing it. I just need the engine closer the closet I've found is in GA and thats a no go.

Have ya seen this web page ?
Don't know if it's anything you're after but thought i'd mention it.
A 360 is $1855 total with shipping and if you have no core.
A 401 at $1790 + $265 ship aint too bad but $900-$1100 401 core charge, ouch !
The 390 has a $3000 core charge, wow !
