head dowels

what else can i use besides stock, any tricks you guy's have used. i can't find any dowels over here. or do i even need them, i wanna put the motor back together. thanks in advance. mikey

Gotta have them to position the head and head gasket right.

You can find them here, straight or stepped (to put 70-up heads on a 68/69 block).
