I don't know. I just got the call @ 9PM EST. I'm gonna look @ it tomorrow @ 4PM EST.

The gut said it's a GM V6 w/a T-400 behind it & a drivers side drop front axle. I think he said it's a '87 but I don't remember a Grand Waggy w/a GM V6. ???????????

sounds to me like an XJ wag, would have a carb 2.8 V6, 904 mopar trans, possably a 229 case, it would have to be 86 or older 84-86, 87 was the first year for the 4.0. If the body is clean it would be worth something, especially if there is not emmissions testing where you are at and swap motors, if you do motor only swap you could look at a 3.1 TBI out of a lumnia van or other 3.1-3.4 motors out of rear wheel drive GM cars (camaro-firebird) I'm not sure if a 3.8 would have the same bel, but that would be a best choice if it did, especially if it was a supercharged version. :-|

Probly a 258/727 combo but the th400 was not used in FSJ's after 1980. GW's I dont believe ever came with 6's

I know, that is what's puzzling. I'm leaving in a few to look @ it. I'll post the info later. He's asking 400 bucks for a complete Jeep. :t:

If it is a 258/727 combo, I'm gonna awap it into my CJ8.

OK I just got back form the 35min trip (one way). I arrived @ the guy's house to see a '73 CJ5 w/a fiberglass tub sitting in the drive way & I started to salivate & say to my friend this can't be true, maybe he made a mistake so get the cash out.

Come to find out we were directed out back all to find a Cherokee sitting there :(: (he said it was a '84 but told my friend it was a '87) w/a 5 bolt lug pattern & a GM (looked like it) V6, 173 CU displacement. We said no thanks, he said, but it runs & drives, we said, well, & he said, just one problem, no title, can't get one. We said by :sa:.

Oh well, it doesn't hurt to look.

Thanks for the input everyone,
Jim
