So i picked up an AMC edelbrock intake yesterday and this thing has got to have the smallest runners i have ever seen maybe 1" x 3/4"? But it has S.P.2-P. with AMC right underneath those numbers and the normal Edelbrock cursive right beside it. As soon as i figure out my stupid cell fone i get some pictures for ya guys. I also scored a crane camshaft with the numbers CCH-288-2-NC crane 86 16 92 stamped on the back side Anyone have any specs?

The SP2P was a 1970s era gas crunch manifold. It was designed to keep the runner speed up to improve mileage. They generally work OK at low RPM, but just don't flow enough for high RPM or 343 and larger displacement engines.

Can't help much on the cam. Had a couple of Cranes round lobes and quit using them.

Hmm.....the intake itself is just dirty but im going to clean it up,so i figure it would work great on a stock 304 then?

I've heard a lot of people say they work well on 290s and 304s, even bone stock 360s that don't get revved very high. I see people still buy them, and they bring a respectable price on ebay. The weight savings over cast iron is worth something.

I've heard that people run the SP2P with a Holley Truck Avenger 470cfm and a small cam (like the Edelbrock 2132) on a 304 with great results. If I had a CJ with the 304, that's the combo I would set up.
