i need to get a good thick header gasket because my headers flanges seem to be a little warped nothing to bad but they leak a little...kinda annoying...i found some through jegs that they say are thick and will work on the worst flanges....but i dont know the diffrence between stock and dog leg header ports...i think i just have the stock but someone needs to tell me the diffrence....

square is what you would be calling stock, dog-leg would be an L shaped exhaust port. check out www.remflex.com bad azz gaskets but kinda pricey at $41.42 a set.

If your engine is 1970 or newer, it has dogleg port heads. I never had any luck sealing the headers on my Jeep until I found gaskets from Harbor Industries at a swap meet. They're a small company, but still out there if you google for them.

I've heard the Remflex gaskets are worth the price because they last and don't leak.

I bought the Remflex gaskets but have not used them yet. They are made of graphite and look to be over an 1/8th inch thick. Info says they crush up to 50% to seal pitted flanges and do not require re-torque. We'll see.
