So how do you re-install the double valve spring Inner Spring
with the engine assembled and in the car / jeep
after only running th outer spring for cam break-in ?

What Valve Spring Tool did you use ?

Am aware of using 1/4" rope thru plug hole or compressed air
to hold valves with piston at or near TDC.

When running motor with outer spring only during break-in,
does it matter there is no outer spring location ledge in the heads ???

Well I guess no one removes the inner valve spring for cam break-in.

Called Crane, who's double valve springs I am using, and they said
there's no need to remove inners for cam break-in with the springs I have.
They recommend removing inner springs IF
closed is more than #130 and open is more than #330
The springs I have are #120 closed and #315 open.
They are Crane #99893-16 installed height of 1.88"

One way for sure to avoid cam break-in "problems" is these springs are also
recommended for a Crane Hydraulic Roller Cam, Cam and Lifters are only ~$1000
