I was looking around the e-store and I saw the adapter plate that removes the original oil filter adapter. Should I be using this? I hava a 401 that I rebuilt about 300 miles ago. On a cold start up oil pressure goes to about 90 psi (10/40 oil with a high pressure spring). Engine warmed up (water temp 180) oil pressure is 40 at idle, 65 running down the road. Does this new plate have the oil pressure spring and plunger in it? If not how do you regulate oil pressure?
