You either

A. Have to bribe officials with beer and stogies
B. Hide inside a box and hope you make it through
C. Be one heck of a hardcore AMC fan enough to make it through 3 days of AMCs in the park and get a free tour

Lets go with C but I was pretty tired so the quality might not be that great. This plant in Kenosha was huge...it felt like I walked 1.5miles through it! I swear I didnt take 200 pictures

Here are the pics..

This robot installs heads and head bolts...sends the engine down the line for another robot to torque the bolts

Box O' connecting rod

This is the tool they use to cut cranks..this cutting body is held within a percent of a degree and they claim .00002 accuracy after grinding. (Tool is 4' in diameter)

I like the boxes of connecting rods and all the cranks....the wall of engine blocks  Just imagine.....there used to be a pile of 390's and 401's just like that in the same factory

I've gotta laugh at that 2.7l problem solving board :?: that engine is probably the biggest piece of sh!t chrysler has come up with in many years.

They took AMC in a hostile takeover in '87, but still installed 360s in all of the GWs through '91. I imagine they just depleted the remaining stock of parts.
