Found the following 3 covers on ePay. Can anyone relate FIRSTHAND experience with these?

There are several differences in construction....2 of them require either long bolts or studs, while the other looks like it'll take the stock hardware.

The other thing I noticed is that one of them is obviously made out of several smaller lengths of material...the others cleverly hide the joints, this could be an indicator of quality or lack of same.

So........does anyone know how well these fit, clear big rockers (or not), leak, and how durable are they? Thanks

I had a set of UAP's, like what the bottom ones look like. I hated them & sold them at a loss before ever putting them on!!!

I would suggest getting cast covers!!!!

Many mfgrs are making them, Indy for one.

Sorry to hear that you had problems....what in particular didn't you like?

I realize that cast ones are probably the best way to go, but would like a different look. The large flat area across the top allows for all manner of nameplates and venting.

venting is not a problem with the cast covers

The common complaint I've heard is that unless the bottom flange is a machined piece, they warp slightly when first installed. They usually seal on the first install, but if you constantly R/R, they can be hard to get sealed.

Some of the welded flanges are too wide, and need to be clearanced for pushrods and valve springs. With these, you get what you pay for.

Thanks for all the input. I've made my decision........am going with Saran Wrap instead.

Now for the shameless plug. :? :? How 'bout a set of the "legend" valve covers from Bulltear? Plenty tall for girdles or whatever.

If it wasn't for the top one having screwed up lettering I'd get them.

Hmmmm But you can fix the lettering just take that image and rotate it 90 degrees twice..

I guess the top cover must be for Australian cars!

I *think* the Indy covers are made by Unique, or the other way around

I got a set of Eddel's Aluminum covers a couple years ago (or whenenver they first came out -again). I love them they have been awsome, but now if I were to buy another set I would get the Bulltear ones.

He is a little kinky though. He has chains and handcuffs on his steering wheel!
