HI all!
I've got a transplanted 360 in my '74 CJ-5, and I want to install an OBA system on the CJ, but I can't find the right crank pulley (or the upper mount for the compressor) anywhere.
I've kinda narrowed the year down to a 1970 or so, but thats not for certain.
My question is, what years used a 3 bolt pulley on the harmonic balancer? Most of the 360's I've seen have a 4 bolt pulley.

My 3 bolt pulley has a smaller center hole than the 4 bolt ones I've seen, also.

If it helps, near as I can tell my engine casting (on the rear of the engine) is 6195528, but I cant find that in any lists, so maybe its 3195528 (360, '70-'84)
Dizzy takes the same (dwell type) points as a '70 matador...not a CJ type points set (2 trips to the parts store, second one with the dizzy in hand!) :?:

You have a 1970 AMC 360. That was the only year the three bolt harmonic balancer was used. You need to either find a pulley from a 3 bolt harmonic balancer 67-70 or have a billet one made (we do that). You might get lucky on ebay or in the wanted section here. Look for brackets for your york or sanden AC unit from a Wagoneer. Might find those here if you post in the wanted section. the upside is that you might have the original 3196291 high compression heads on the motor!

:-| Just figures I find something thats a one (year)-of-a-kind - Just my luck! :?:

I pulled some brackets and pulleys off a '80s Waggy, and thats when I found out that mine ain't the same. SO I have the mount for the compressor, but it doesn't bolt up to my engine right. The heads don't seem to have the right holes in the right place, that kind of thing.
A buddy of mine says its the same as his (new to him) Waggy 360, thats why I was wondering.

I'll have to check the casting on these heads, with the amount of power this thing has, they could be Hi-Compression heads (or I can dream at least!)

It could have either the 3196291 (hi compression, 52cc chamber) or the 3196090 (low compression, 58-60cc). Could either be a 70 or 71

heres some comparison pics of the pulleys I have.
If anyone has something like the one on the right, with 3 belt grooves, I could use it!

BTW: the 3 groove water pump pulley I got from the Waggy actually fixed the belt alignment problem I had when I bought the Jeep! :!: So at least I got that out of it!

I think it was in '72 when the all the front stuff changed.
Dampeners, number of main pulley screws, water pump height, accessorie brackets, etc. The front of the motors and heads didn't change though. So you have to use all '70-'71 parts, dampener, pulleys, brackets, water pump, etc., or all '72 and up pieces to get everything to line up.
