So i bought some of the HRC gears and the oil relocation kit from BullTear....begin to do a basic teardown tonite........pull the intake (switchin to a Torker) then notice my dist base gasket is torn so i figure i should yank it and replace since im pullin the bottom of the pump off ne ways. Dist gear has teeth chipped off!!! :smile: :(: then notice valve seal has some how broke and pieces of it are hangin out in the top end......front crank seal has walked out a bit causing a leak....so im thinkin .................i have a DUI HEI distributor setup and need new gears.....same as stockers? or is the DUI different? Or should i use the points set-up distributor i have considering i have an MSD 6AL and the HEI really serves me no good? except for coil in cap and easy parts? What should i do guys!?!?!?!
