Ebay $80 AMC HEI (Chinese quality warning!)

We recently purchased a cheap $80 AMC HEI off ebay to see what and how they were so cheap. We found that the tang on the shaft wouldnt let the HEI sit all the way down and after you used the factory clamp to keep the distributor in place (KABOOM) you would eat your gears in a matter of seconds..here are the pics. So we bought another one and found it to be the same! :o

Well big surprise there!!.. hmm lets check the dictionary...Yep right there it is!! "made in China" ancient english meaning, Piece O crap..

Seriously why do people fall for that stuff ?? (and I dont mean E-bay only, I mean all the recalled cheap crap)

You don't get something for nothing and what you dont get is someone willing back up the product.

I can imagine the damage to the pump cover, if the pump would turn at all once you crank down the dizzy clamp.
