Use whatever is recommended for your engine, but open the gap an additional .010-.015".

You can run any sparkplug for an AMC. Just make the gap larger .043-.045

I actually ran a Bosch plug for a 5-cylinder turbo Audi. It is a W7DTC. Copper core with 3 ground tabs on it (like a Platinum +4 has 4 tabs ... sorry technical term eludes me). The plug stick about 1 mm or so farther down into the combustion chamber.

Just a quick follow up on these plugs. DO NOT buy them at a regular parts store, as I have seen them charge up to $14 a plug for these, depending on the location.

Go to an import autoparts place to order them. I just ordered eight of them today for $3.25 at S&G Import Autoparts here in Michigan.

You can also get them online for $4.45 at :

Here is a link to what they look like: http://www.germanautoparts.com/image/C6T0D377W1
