Is this set-up worth considering or is it one to steer clear of?

I have never seen the brand. You will definitely want to rebuild the vaporizer and mixer (seals and such). What's the flow on the mixer?

I'm still emailing back and forth with the seller to verify it fits my manifold. I'll ask if he can identify a flow rate. I know nothing about these things. Thanks for the heads up on the seals.

You might have better luck with googling the part numbers to find out the flow rates, etc. It will also give you an idea if any rebuild kits are available. As far as the manifold goes, You can always have an adapter made if you know someone at a machine shop.

BTW, I LOVE my propane kit.

Wel I got some more info about this set-up. The regualtor seems to be sufficient and parts are available for it. Regulator (http://www.centuryproductsonline.com/2504a.html)

Here are some numbers off of the mixer:
1A-42227-A54

This is the tag on the mixer:
Marvel Schebler 3C-705 DTL 2408 G74.
It has 1 and 5/16" throttle bores

Funny thing is all my tractors have Marvel-Schebler carbs but I'm not finding anything on the web about the propane mixers.
I'll have to give the guys at propanecarbs.com a shout.

For $80.00 I might just take a chance and buy it. Pretty cheap if it works out.
