Hi, been a member for a bit but never really introduced myself. Name is Jeff, occupation machinist/cnc programmer, own a 1979 J10 since 1985, a 1988 AMC Eagle since 1987, 2005 Subaru Legacy, 1967 Olds 442 conv. and various other non road worthy AMC's and Jeeps. Right now we are in the middle of a 401 Cj7 build up for my son with fiberglass body and alot of other mods. This will be a street driven vehicle not offroading, not that we have anything against that, just that this is a purpose built Jeep for everyday use. Have a blog going on right now covering the build up process in case anybody is interested. Includes alot of technical info with specific part numbers. http://quadra-trac-jeep-cj7-buildup.blogspot.com/

Here are pics of the J10 and 442 which is awaiting restoration. It runs and drives but needs everything redone. Someday.

Great CJ. Let us know how you solve the Wrangler hardtop with CJ tailgate issue. I am wrestling with that myself.

Thanks for all the feedback guys, means alot. To fuzz401, I remember seeing that beast at the York show and a quicky in JP Magazine. Nice!! Here is a shot of our daily driver with the studs on. I car pool so my wife and I share the Eagle. Has 280,000 miles on it. 3rd engine though. Its an 88 last year for them. Got it in 89 with only 5,000 miles on it. Traded my 84 Eagle on it. Been a great car. http://i103.photobucket.com/albums/m157/lasteagle/eagle1.jpg
