If guys are willing to pay the big bucks for the power steering pulley we could make them a little cooler.

tufcj
03-26-2008, 06:21 PM
How much is the big bucks? I'd pay the same for the same style in a V-belt just for the cooling. Make them better, I might even pay a little more. :?:

Hell, the machining time should only take 30 minutes... Programing and tool set-up sucks but you should be able to turn a penny into a dime with these... I guess all you need is a kick-ass design with the bulltear logo... What about something like the naked ladies on the mud flaps of the semi trucks... with the lady having a tattoo of the bulltear logo... Nice hour glass bod, definitely "bigins" etc... Yup, now that would be nice... What about valve covers and an Air-Cleaner covers... with the same naked chick and bulltear logo... I'd buy 1 or 2 if the prices are right...

And that should go along with a redesigned PS pump mounting bracket? Get it just a little bit further from the HEI plug wires?

Matt, is there any way the pulley bore can be split and a socket head cap screw be used to tighten the pulley as opposed to a press fit on the power steering pump shaft??

(For ease of removal.)

Hey your not supposed to know about that  I cant believe you said that Jeff you just confirmed our design :?:

Your awesome Jeff

Well I've looking at my new Vanco power steering pump for a week or two now (I'm using Vans Hydroboost kit) and I really didn't want to press on a new aluminum pulley on the new pump and not have a "correct tool" to remove it if I installed it too deep on the shaft.
So there aren't many options to "lock" a pulley to the shaft, it's not keyed so that doen't work.

I would love a p/s pulley to match the crank and water pump pulley I bought from you. Single grove v-belt for a press on pulley not a keyed pulley. Also we need a better and more simple p/s pump bracket. In fact we need a complete set of good looking brackets for Grand Wagoneers that have it all a/c (Sanden compresor), p/s and alt. Thanks for all you do for us AMC guys.

I have the crank and water pump pulleys (from you) but am in need of the P/S v-belt type press on pulley. I have been working on this motor for a number of years. Being poor and disabled has really made this a slow go but I am getting close and I swore to myself there would be no half assing this time (probably be last time). I also need to relocate P/S pump for HEI. If BULLTEAR is not making or no longer making I really need these items. I have bought a number of items from BULLTEAR over the years and have nothing but good to say. I have also called to ask questions a time or two and been treated extremely well. I understand the small market they are dealing with and having worked in the auto parts business for my entire working life I also know most of us not all but most of us infected with jeepitus are not exactly in the fortune 500. Any help with this from anyone would be greatly appreciated. My name is Ben Richey and I live in Gadsden Al. Thanks to everyone in advance for their help.
