As you know the Man-childs S-10 4x4 went T.U. with a rod knock'n.
I'm back in the states for another 3 weeks, but have a busted ankle.

I'm looking for a re-man long block to drop in because I don't have the time needed to pull, rebuild and reinstall. Just looking for an R&R and get him back on the road.

There are a dirth of engine builders on line and I have no clue who the best or better of them all are, so I'm looking for suggestions. What I've seen LB prices are anywhere between $1100 and $1800 for the 1999, balance shaft, FI, 4.3L motors.

Help please ?

4.3ltrs are one of the easiest engines to rebuild. They are a chevy 350 with two missing cylinders. Just about any shop should be able to sell you a rebuild for very little.

I have a Gopher re-man lb in my 97' s10 2wd p/u with around 115,000 miles on it now. Granted it was done probably 6 years ago but it costed me (installed) $2,600.

I have a good used supose to fit 96-98, 160K or so on it, was a good runner before it tipped over... long story, ready to install needs a pan put on is the biggest thing.
